The Farnsley Middle School Swim Team has officially wrapped up its first-ever season, marking an exciting milestone for our athletic program and opening new doors for our student-athletes. This inaugural year set the foundation for what will become a long-standing and competitive swim tradition at Farnsley. Last Friday, our team competed in the 2025 Middle School Championship held at the Ralph Wright Natatorium at the University of Louisville. Against strong competition from across the region, our swimmers represented Farnsley with pride, improvement, and outstanding effort. Top Performances at the Championship: Yamilett Marcial (6th Grade) finished in the Top 10 for 6th graders in both the Girls 50-yard Freestyle and 50-yard Butterfly—a remarkable achievement in her first season. Cristopher Yayes-Navas (6th Grade) earned a Top 15 finish among 6th graders in the 50-yard Backstroke, showing tremendous growth and competitive spirit. Every swimmer on the team showed improvement throughout the season, demonstrating dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to tackle a brand-new sport. Their progress reflects the heart of Farnsley athletics—student-athletes embracing challenges and striving to get better each day. A special thank-you goes to Coach Ingalls and Coach Mallory, whose leadership, patience, and enthusiasm made this first season possible. They took the reins of a brand-new program and guided our athletes through meaningful practices, skill development, and a memorable championship experience. We are incredibly proud of our swimmers and excited to continue building this program in the years to come.
